The Berry Getaways Poultry Pavilion opens on Friday from 9am with displays of rare and unusual breeds. Experienced breeders, always keen to “talk chooks”, are on hand to answer your poultry questions, and you can test your knowledge with our posters and displays.
Poultry judging starts at 8.30am on Saturday. The major prizes are presented at 3.30pm, including best Rare Breed and the top award, Bird of Show.
Waterfowl aren’t in the 2027 schedule because of current bird flu biosecurity requirements. Check our biosecurity page for any updates before the Show.
For kids
The Saturday Poultry Show includes junior art and craft poultry categories for under-16s, from decorated eggs to Lego creations. Art and craft exhibits are delivered to the Poultry Shed and collected after 4pm Saturday. On both days kids can join chicken-themed activities: painting and playdough, “chuck-a-chook” and holding baby chickens.
