The Rural Ambassador Program gives young people a chance to learn about the agricultural show movement by working as stewards at local shows. The participating shows are Albion Park, Kiama, Berry, Robertson and Milton.

What you’ll do

• Get behind the scenes and help run events at your local show
• Work with a show mentor who guides and supports you
• See every show section, meet exhibitors and livestock, and hand out ribbons and prizes
• Take part in the Young Farmers Challenge
• Meet other people who are keen on agriculture

What you’ll receive

• A show ambassador shirt
• Two years’ membership of the participating show society
• Two years’ membership of The Agriculture Group (TAG)
• A 12-month honorary position on the Show Society committee
• A share of $200 in prize money, plus prizes
